Does Hagerty write coverage for comprehensive only?

Yes. Comprehensive only coverage is available when a car is undergoing restoration, part of a display (such as in a museum) or placed in long-term storage. You should carefully consider this option since Comprehensive only coverage does not cover vehicle damage caused by Collision with another object. For example, Comprehensive only coverage would not pay for (Collision) damage resulting from a vehicle falling off a jack while under repair, or a stored, parked auto rolling into the garage door after a brake failure - - scenarios that are fairly common to collector vehicles.

Comprehensive

Car is stationary and the tree branch crushes the roof.
That’s Comprehensive.

Collision

Car is in motion and rolls into a tree. That’s Collision.
Even if no one was driving.
