  • Are your roadside service plans only for my collector cars?

    It depends. Hagerty Plus® 15-kilometre and 80-kilometre plans cover only your collector vehicles. The 200-kilometre plan covers all of your household vehicles. Trailer coverage is included in the 80-kilometre and 200-kilometre plans. Plus, anyone who drives the car may call for assistance — we do not restrict our plans to a specific driver.

  • What is the Hagerty fee?

    In addition to your premium, a forty dollar fee is charged to you by Hagerty for arranging your specialty insurance coverage, which may include the following: acting as a resource for vehicle valuation; supporting immediate policy issuance, web-based quoting and policy issuance, and online policy management; and underwriting your policy on behalf of the company.

  • Can I use my roadside service coverage to get reimbursed for services that are hired directly by me?

    No. The program only covers roadside services dispatched by Hagerty Plus®. You must call 866-922-6569 to have service dispatched. Any services retained directly by you are not covered.

  • What if my vehicle breaks down and a police officer obtains a tow for me?

    In the event that this does happen you would then need to submit an invoice for reimbursement up to your benefit allowance.

  • What is the average response time for roadside service?

    In most cases a service provider will arrive within 45-55 minutes. Dispatch of roadside assistance may be delayed due to weather, traffic, exact distance or peak-period demand.

  • Can I combine two or more service incidents to pay for a more expensive one?

    No. Although there is not a limit to the number of service incidents dispatched per 12-month term, they cannot be combined to cover any out-of-pocket expenses that may occur from a single incident.

  • Are Hagerty’s premiums lower than standard premiums?

    Yes, Hagerty’s premiums are up to 55% lower on average than everyday insurance. Figure based upon 2012 consumer data collected by Hagerty on single car quotes, with premiums $5000 and under, from several Daily Driver (or “Everyday”) auto insurance carriers.
