<p><ul><li>After a slight increase in July, the <strong>Hagerty Market Rating is down 0.52 points to 68.46.</strong></li><li>Auction activity was largely responsible for last month's increase, and the section increased again this month as the <strong>number of cars sold has grown and the median sales price holds steady.</strong></li><li><strong>Private sales activity increased for the second month in a row.</strong> Both average price and the number of cars selling above their insured values are up slightly.</li><li><strong>Requests for value increases for broad market vehicles fell for the eleventh consecutive month.</strong></li><li><strong>Requests for value increases for high-end vehicles saw another significant drop</strong>, the second largest in the last six years.</li><li>In the weeks leading up to Monterey, <strong>Expert Sentiment decreased for the second consecutive month and saw its largest drop since February.</strong></li><li><strong>Correlated instruments increased</strong> in August after the large drop in the wake of Brexit last month.</li><li>July's reported rating was revised from 69.07 to 68.98 due to newly released inflation numbers.</li></ul></p>
