<p><ul><li>After two consecutive but small increases the <strong>Hagerty Market Rating fell half a point to 64.17</strong>.</li><li>Auction activity was strong enough last month to push the overall rating upward, but for May <strong>auction activity saw its biggest drop since July 2017</strong>. The number of cars offered at auction and their median sale price both dropped, <strong>as did the average price on the private market</strong>.</li><li>With the latest release of the Hagerty Price Guide, the <strong>average condition #3 (good) value dropped, but the median #3 value raised slightly. This is a result of high-dollar cars dropping while entry-level cars grow</strong>.</li><li><strong>The number of both mainstream and high-end vehicle owners who think that values are increasing was mostly flat for May</strong>, although it dropped slightly for high-end owners. This number has been trending down for about a year.</li></ul></p>
