With many collector vehicles, overheating can be a persistent problem. Sometimes, flushing the block and radiator, replacing the hoses and belts and rebuilding the water pump can cure cars that run hot. However, when those fixes don’t work, it’s time to address the radiator.

While many car owners prefer the stock look and opt to have their original radiator re-cored or replaced, an increasing number of people are installing aluminum radiators for greater cooling capacity. For those concerned about modifying their cars, any good aluminum radiator should fit right in without any changes at all. And the best part is that the original radiator can go back in at any time.
