1970 Aston Martin DB6 MkII. Vantage engine with triple Webers. Beautiful, rare model. Bahama ywllo, black leather upholstery. Valued investment. $50,000.

The DB6 was one of the final Aston Martins of the much-celebrated David Brown era. While the DB6 is not as celebrated as the DB5 (much to do with the James Bond connection), this example is equipped with the noticeably more powerful Vantage engine and therefore the more desirable version of the DB6. The asking price back in 1979 was certainly steep, meaning that much like today, a used Aston  isn't in everyone's price range. While this car probably didn't make the new owner much money above the normal inflation rate, it has done better than many British sports cars, which tend to appreciate at a slower rate.
