Spring 2016 Contributors

COLIN COMER
is one of the foremost authorities in the classic car realm. Founder of Colin's Classic Automobiles in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he is also the author of five best-selling books, including Million-Dollar Muscle Cars, The Complete Book of Shelby, and Shelby Cobra Fifty Years. His writing also appears in Road & Track and Vintage Motorsport. Colin maintains an eclectic collection and is an accomplished race car driver and pilot. He returns to the pages of Hagerty with the story of GM's unsung muscle heroes, which appears on page 28.

MARK HARMER
grew up in California but made his way to Michigan to be close to the industry he loves — cars. He has done extensive photographic work for the Big Three and has been shooting for Harley-Davidson for more than two decades. When not shooting, he races Surtees and Brabham singleseaters. In 2011, he photographed every car on display at The Henry Ford Museum, and those images soon found their way into the 2013 book, Driving America. A few of his images from that shoot accompany John Krewson's page 36 feature on underappreciated cars of the future.

TARA HURLIN
works as a lifestyle writer and editor for Hagerty. She is actively involved in many aspects of the classic car hobby and spends her free time at hot rod shows, driving her ’61 Cadillac Series 62, cruising in her 1964 Renken fiberglass boat or working on her current projects — a Mazdaspeed Miata track car, her Jeep overland expedition rig and a ’52 Ford gasser. For this issue, Tara rolled onto GingerMan Raceway to learn some of the driving skills needed to keep up with her 250-horsepower Miata build. Find it on page 60.

ART MASON
got the car bug while watching F1 on ABC's "Wide World of Sports" in the late 1970s. He has judged Ferrari and Lotus club events, and when he's not playing his vintage Fender Stratocaster, jogging or doing work as an occupational therapist, he flies 767s to Europe for a major U.S. carrier. Art has been published in multiple aviation and automobile magazines, and his writing regularly appears on Hagerty Valuation Tools. He makes his Hagerty magazine debut on page 44 with a look at four entry-level cars from prestige brands.
