How did you get involved with collector cars?
I've been a "car-nut" my whole life – literally. I was around collector cars when they were brand new, and my interest in them has never waned. My earliest memory is standing in the back of my dad's four-year-old 1955 Ford sedan, pointing at other cars on the street and naming them correctly – at age two.

What's your favorite car memory?
I was eight-years-old. My oldest cousin had a brand new red '65 Corvette convertible and he asked if I'd like to ride with the top down. Needless to say, it was "yes please!" He drove the four speed 'Vette, redlining it in 1st and 2nd, which put a huge grin on both of our faces. I'll never forget it.

How have cars affected your relationships?
When courting my wife, I explained to her that if we got married, I'd only be chasing fender skirts. Trouble was, she was British and didn't know what fender skirts were! But she got the idea, and we've been married over 30 years.

What have cars taught you about life?
Car guys (and gals) are the nicest people out there. While there's always a bit of competition between brand aficionados, generally speaking we all pull together when the chips are down (the Historic Vehicle Association is a great example). And that's a cool thing to see.
