As a Regional Territory Manager with Hagerty I have the amazing opportunity to help protect what automotive enthusiasts, in and around New York, cherish most. Sharing in the culture and supporting the hobby is at the core of what we do. I grew up on Long Island and this is where my passion for cars started. Weekends were spent with family jumping from car shows to cruise-ins. This passion runs deep within the Nussbaum’s. My father patiently taught me how to drive a manual in his Porsche and my brother is the one who turned me on to American Muscle. Despite living in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire or Rhode Island, I always came back for the Long Island car shows.
What is unique about the hobby in your territory?
New York is diverse and the automotive culture is woven into the very fabric of this great state. Go upstate and see our racetracks or wooden boats on the Finger Lakes. Take a drive into Manhattan and walk through the International Auto Show or catch the exotics cruise through the city streets. Don’t forget about Long Island, where we host the second largest concentration of vehicles from 1961 to 1979! It is infectious out here and you can see how easy it is to become an enthusiast.

Why Hagerty? What excites you about what we do?
I have always known of Hagerty through frequenting car shows and befriending their clients, but it’s exhilarating to be on this side of the business. Interestingly enough, I ran into Greg Johns-East Coast Sales Manager-and Will Corr-Senior Territory Manager-at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut. I felt compelled to ask Greg an insurance question and the rest is history. I love the automotive industry and working for a company founded by enthusiasts for enthusiasts is a dream!
