Sam Power, Southeast Michigan
I’m a Regional Territory Manager here at Hagerty, helping to connect people with classic car insurance in Michigan. I grew up in a small farm town in rural Indiana, and my love of cars began at an early age with my dad’s white 1979 Chevrolet Corvette. We would take the Vette into the local market every Sunday to pick up the newest issue of Wheels and Deals. As I got older, I continued my interest in collector vehicles and as soon as I graduated from Grand Valley State University, I applied to Hagerty Insurance. I was lucky enough to get a job in the Client Account Processing department and soon after I was able to join the Claims Department as an adjuster on the Specialty Team. Currently, I am working towards a certification as a Master Automotive Technician.
What is unique about the hobby in your territory?
Detroit is the automotive mecca and home to the “Big 3”: General Motors, Ford Motor Company, and Fiat Chrysler. This territory also hosts the Woodward Dream Cruise, which is one of the world’s largest automotive events. Woodward brings around 40,000 classic and collector vehicles to this area every August. I believe the enthusiasm and support for the hobby is unmatched in this territory. Southeast Michigan is also where a large portion of Hagerty Expert Repair shops are located. So, if you are looking for quality restoration or repair after an accident, this region is a great place to live.

Why Hagerty? What excites you about what we do?
I am excited to work for Hagerty because I am able to do something I enjoy for a living. I look forward to every opportunity to discuss the hobby with car enthusiasts and attend classic car/specialty vehicle events in my territory.
