Equipment
Wire wheels, roll bar, disc drum brakes, fire system, fuel cell, reinforced axles. New windscreen with the old holes filled poorly, paint shows track use with chips and scrapes throughout. Prepared for vintage racing in 2001 and raced into 2003 with good results.
Market commentary
Ace Bristols inspire some fierce loyalty and that following has made them, with their pre WWII BMW designed engines, fierce competitors to 289 Cobras. This one doesnt seem to have realized its potential, however. The fallback is to put it back in street trim (at great cost to find the right bits) but in this case the 100D engine inhibits its value. This price is very generous for an ordinary historic racer without impressive credentials.
