Equipment
Silver painted wire wheels, 100D engine. Barn find with 1975 Indiana plate. Complete and all there including top and side curtains. Runs and drives. Good original upholstery with no pulls, tears or cracks. Drivers seat back bolster lightly burnished appropriate to the 22,670 miles showing on the odometer. Has been hit and repaired behind right front wheel and in left rear. Left rear wheel camber is excessive. A great find. One of several cars from a single barnfind. Looks pretty awful, but should never be restored.
Market commentary
This was the most anticipated car of this years Auburn Fall when it drove onto the block. Bidders were on the phone from the UK and all over the U.S. Everyone onsite had been talking about it. In the end it went to a U.S. buyer to applause from the crowd at an astronomical price for a 100D powered AC, but theres probably not another one this original, complete and wonderfully disheveled in the world. Expensive, but worth it.
