Equipment
Turbocharged 159/850hp Ford 4-cam V-8, 4-speed.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Driven by Denny Hulme at Indy in 1969, clutch failure on lap 145 classified him as 18th overall despite running 2nd overall for much of the race. Restored for Chuck Haines by Walter Goodwin some time ago and now in aged but as-raced condition. Engine recently gone through by Goodwin.
Market commentary
This is a running-driving-4-cam Ford powered Eagle Indy car with Denny Hulme history. It is a real bargain, even though it will be expensive to maintain. Maybe it would be wise to keep the Ford on a stand and put in a Chevy for track events; it's a configuration that's part of the car's history.
