Market commentary
As far as '81 Corvettes go, this one is about as good as it gets as it's essentially a showroom fresh car. Nevertheless, it brought an unremarkable price. It crossed the lot fairly early in the day, likely before a lot of the big money was in the room. But, even at Mecum's Bloomington Gold auction in 2010 it was bid to only $17,500 making this a cost-effective way to say "I own a Bloomington Gold Survivor Corvette!"
