Equipment
305/145, 4-speed, Goodyear Eagle GT tires, glass T-tops, window sticker, original radio.
Condition
Showing 1835 miles that are represented as actual. First year for the third gen Z28 and last year for the 4-speed. Well-kept with no serious deterioration visible anywhere. Given its mileage and it’s early build date, it’s a collector piece for the F-body or GM enthusiast or anybody who collects ‘80s domestic cars.
Market commentary
The third gen Camaro debuted in 1982, so this one's early build date, good options (T-tops, 4-speed) and level of preservation make it appealing to collectors rather than Gen Xers reliving their high school days. All things considered, this car got a solid premium for the attributes above but the Indy bidders didn't get carried away with it like they did for some of the low-mile Fox-body Mustangs at the same sale.
