Retired commercial vehicle insurance

Protect your retired commercial or service vehicle with coverage through Hagerty.

If you own a retired vintage or antique fire truck, semi tractor/trailer, bus, dump truck, or tow truck, Hagerty may be able to offer insurance for these specialized collector vehicles. Provincial eligibility rules for vehicle type and weight may apply.

Qualifying for commercial vehicle insurance

Retired commercial vehicles must meet the following requirements:

  • Appropriate usage—since commercial vehicles are typically large and designed to transport passengers or goods, appropriate usage and garaging are primary concerns
  • Though we prefer that collector vehicles are stored in an enclosed, secure structure when not in use—such as a private garage, pole barn, car condo or storage unit—we will consider other storage types, including carports, driveways, parking garages, or car hauling trailers*
